Agar culture plate – “Enoki/Enokitake” – Flammulina velutipes

This mushroom likes it cold! Great for outdoor growing in winter.

Type: choice edible, medicinal usage and compounds, research

Characteristics: When grown under restrictive conditions, as they are often cultivated, they have small white domed pileus and elongated white straw-like stipes. If grown in natural, outdoor, conditions they take on a completely different appearance; larger broad golden caps and velvety stipes, with a dark umbra to black at their base of the substrate.

Best Temperature Range: They need temperatures to range from 8-12°C however, we have had kits fruit in the fridge below 3°C.
