Cultivation Quick Facts

Grower’s Note: Unlike standard oysters that grow easily from the sides of bags, King Oysters are typically grown “top-fruited” (vertical orientation) out of the top of a container or filter-patch bag. They require a distinct cool temperature drop to trigger pinning, along with high humidity and high fresh air exchange (FAE).

Storage Tip: The King Oyster is highly cold-tolerant during its culture stage. If you aren’t ready to inoculate right away, simply store the syringe in your refrigerator between 2°C–4°C. It will remain viable and ready to grow for up to 6 months!
