Cultivation Quick Facts

Grower’s Note: Like all Shiitake varieties, patience is required during incubation. The mycelium must undergo a “browning” or “popcorning” phase—where the fully colonized white block develops a brown, protective bark—before it is introduced to fruiting conditions. This phase generally takes 6 to 10 weeks, but the resulting explosion of high-yield mushrooms is incredibly rewarding!
