Cultivation Quick Facts

Grower’s Note: The intensity of the blue color is highly dependent on two things: temperature and light! Lower temperatures (around 12°C–16°C) and strong, ambient lighting during the pinning stage will produce the deepest, most vibrant blue caps.

Storage Tip: The Blue Oyster is exceptionally cold-tolerant in its culture stage. If you aren’t ready to inoculate right away, simply store the syringe in your refrigerator between 2°C–4°C. It will remain viable and ready to grow for up to 6 months!
